Chateau Lynch-Bages, located in the Pauillac area, is a Cinquieme Grand Cru - Fifth Growth*.
The name of the Chateau comes from the domain inheritance by Thomas Lynch in 1749. At the death of Jean-Baptiste Lynch in 1835, the estate is divided in two parts giving birth then to Chateau Lynch Bages and Chateau Lynch Moussas. Since 1934, Chateau Lynch Bages has been owned by the family Cazes.
Chateau Lynch Bages is rich in tannins and powerful with a lingering flavor, a typical great wine of Pauillac.
Lynch Bages produces a second wine named Chateau Haut Bages Averous that has became Echo de Lynch Bages since 2008. Also produced is a white wine called Blanc de Lynch Bages.
* Historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
