Chateau Lascombes, located in the Margaux area, is a Second Grand Cru Classe - Second Growth*.
The oldest recorded name is Chevalier (knight) Antoine de Lascombes, owner of the estate during XVII^th century. At that time, the estates Lascombes and Durfort were together as one (the Chateau Durfort-Vivens being also a Second Growth).
Chateau Lascombes is a long keeper, concentrated, powerful and tannic wine, with the elegance and delicacy of great Margaux.
Also, Chateau Lascombes produces a second wine named Chevalier de Lascombes.
