Chateau Lascombes, located in the Margaux area, is a Second Grand Cru Classe - Second Growth*.
The oldest recorded name is Chevalier (knight) Antoine de Lascombes, owner of the estate during XVIIth century. At that time, the estates Lascombes and Durfort were together as one (the Chateau Durfort-Vivens being also a Second Growth).
Chateau Lascombes is a long keeper, concentrated, powerful and tannic wine, with the elegance and delicacy of great Margaux.
Also, Chateau Lascombes produces a second wine named Chevalier de Lascombes.
