Chateau Giscours, located on the terroir of Labarde village, is a Troisieme Grand Cru - Third Growth*. It belongs to the Appellation of controlled origin Margaux.
One can trace back the origins of Giscours in 1330. At that time, the chateau was actually a fortified dungeon. In 1789, the estate is confiscated, thus becoming nationalized. Chateau Giscours is rebuilt in 1847, taking shape of today aspect.
Giscours produces a second wine named Sirène de Giscours.
