Chateau Montrose, located in Saint-Estephe area, is a Deuxieme Grand Cru Classe – Second Growth.
The Chateau origin comes from the end of the XVIIIth century, when one of the heirs of Chateau de Calon discovered a forgotten parcel of land – the moorland of Escargeon – on which he decided to plant grapevines and to build a castle.
