One hour away from Bordeaux, we will drive you to the oyster capital : Gujan-Mestras.

The morning will be devoted to the oyster farmer work. You will visit an authentic oyster farm, embarking a professional, a man of the art who will tell you all his secrets, before to finish of course with a traditional tasting accompanied by a fresh white wine.

Then, lunchtime in Arcachon, in one of the best seafood restaurants, with sea view from where you may see the Bird Island and the huts built on stilts.

After lunch, we will have the possibility to visit the Arcachon basin on boat, or to rent a private "pinasse" (traditionnal luxury boat of the Arcachon basin, which was used to pick up the oyster), to visit the city or to relax at the beach.

Finally, we will drive to the famous "Dune du Pyla", from where you will overhang the Arcachon basin. In front of you, the banc d’Arguin and its oyster beds; in the background the Cape Ferret; on the left hand side the Arcachon basin and behind the dune swallowing up the forest of the Landes. A breathtakingly panorama.
